Heavy-Duty Vehicles (Classes 7-8):

- Class 8: GVWR exceeding 33,001 pounds. This includes the largest trucks, such as tractor-trailers ("semi-trucks" or "18-wheelers"), single-unit dump trucks exceeding this weight, and fire trucks. Cement trucks, dump trucks, and other large rigs like Freightliners and Peterbilts are also in this category. Commercial drivers operating Class 7 and 8 vehicles generally require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Motorhomes (RVs):
Motorhomes are classified based on their size and features.
- Class A Motorhomes: These are typically the largest motorhomes, built on a bus or commercial truck chassis. They often have luxurious features and ample living space, with lengths ranging from 26 to 45 feet. The engine is usually located in the rear (diesel pusher) or the front (gas).
- Class B Motorhomes: These are built on a van chassis, making them more compact and maneuverable. They are suitable for one or two passengers and are popular for short trips. Examples include conversions based on the Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and Ram Promaster.
- Class C Motorhomes: These motorhomes are built on a truck or van chassis with an attached cab section. They offer a balance of space and drivability, with lengths typically ranging from 20 to 32 feet. Class C motorhomes are recognizable by their over-cab sleeping or storage area.
- Super C Motorhomes: A larger version of Class C motorhomes built on a heavy-duty truck chassis, offering increased power, towing capacity (up to 30,000 lbs), and living space. They often have diesel engines and a wider wheelbase for stability.
